About Mr Porter

Mr. Martin Porter was born into a medical family on 11 Dec 1959. He attended Malvern College and after a gap year spent in Saudi Arabia he went up to Caius college, Cambridge where he obtained his BA. Clinical training was at Merton college , Oxford where he obtained his BM, BCh. As a junior doctor in spent time at Bart’s, the Royal Marsden and Royal National Throat Nose and Ear hospital. He spent six months as a lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Senior Registrar training was in Bristol and the South West region and he was awarded his MD for research into nasal physiology. A year was spent as a Fellowship in Head and Neck surgery in Auckland , New Zealand. He has been a consultant in Worcester since 1997. As a consultant he has striven to expand the ENT department so that it now offers a high quality countywide service.

Married with three children he lives in the Malvern where he keeps bees. His other hobbies are shooting, skiing and learning French. Bonjour!
