Profile of Mr Martin Porter MD FRCS(ORL)

Mr. Martin Porter was born into a medical family on 11 Dec 1959.
Awarded an exhibition at Cambridge university where he obtained his BA he then graduated BM BCh from Oxford in 1984.
He worked in various hospitals in London including Bart's and the Royal Marsden he became a Fellow of the Royal Callege of Surgeons of England. registrar training was at the Royal National Ear Nose and Throat Hospital plus a spell as lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Senior registrar training was at Bristol and the South west with a year in Aukland New Zealand. He was awarded his MD for research into nasal physiology.

Married with three children he lives in the Worcestershire countryside where he keeps bees and chickens. His hobbies are shooting and skiing.
